Indonesia Needs Your Help

Kia ora,

On 25 October, two catastrophic disasters hit Indonesia: the Mt. Merapi volcanic eruption that killed 138 people and displaced about 100,000 people and a strong earthquake off the coast of Sumatra Island triggering a tsunami and killed at least 449 people and displacing 15,000 people.

The Society for Southeast Asian Communities Inc. is organising a Fundraising Dinner for the Indonesian earthquake and tsunami victims

For your information, our newly incorporated organisation is working to represent the collective voice and interests of SEAsian migrants and their communities in New Zea-land. Our members consist of volunteers from across the 10 Southeast Asian nations, namely: Brunei Darrusalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

This fundraising dinner to help the earthquake victims is within the scope of our inter-national humanitarian objectives.

We are also taking this opportunity to present the winner at our Logo Design competition held recently.

TICKET IS ONLY $35.00 PER PERSON FOR A 6-COURSE SOUTHEAST ASIAN HALAL MENU (Spring Rolls and Samosas, Penang Chicken (Chicken Curry), Burmese Beef and Potato Curry, Stir-fry vegetable, Green Curry, assorted fruits and jelly).

Please contact Ngoc Nguyen for your tickets at 021-0548488. We have a limited space (50 seats available), so book your seats now!
